" Get all the Education you can, it is easy to carry, no one can take it from you and it will be a benefit in your adult life" Earle Puddington, Sr. As my cousin Chris[topher] said, this picture may be the Rosetta stone for our Purinton lineage. The full genealogy can be reached off the Horace Purinton button above but a key to this picture can be reached by clicking on it. I have done the best I can tofigure out who these people are, you can look at Amos and Martha's family here:
I have not been working on this line very long. Most of this information is built on information from my Aunt Dorothy. I have managed to fill in a lot of data with information from friends I have met on the Internet. With special thanks to Judy Snow. This genealogy was researched by Dorothy Daggett Johnston she provided me with a direct line from Robert Puddington to Martha Belle Purinton... the spelling of Puddington to Purinton was gradual over the years. The first ancestor to change his name was Hezekiah changing the 'd's to 'r's Purrington, then eventually eliminating the 'g' then (According to Dorothy) through careless penmanship one of the 'r's disappeared... My sister sent me a clipping she found of Horace Purinton's Obituary, Horace was my Grandmother's father...I just added this to the page... The picture in the obituary clipping is the same as a photograph I found in one of my mothers album's. Martha Belle 'Purinton' Daggett I made a discovery on 8/12/2002 that the Purinton's and the Prebles were related out of York County Maine, Peter Weare married Mary Puddington, they had a son named Joseph Weare who married Hannah Penwill and had a daughter named Hannah Weare, Hannah married Stephen Preble son of Stephen and Rachel Main, Stephen is a son of Abraham Preble and Judith Tilden. I just met Debra Karen (Daniel) Dean she has Daggett's, Purinton's, Preble's, Flanders's and Miller in her tree... To see the Genealogy click on the link "Horace Purinton" in the banner, it can take almost two minutes to open so be patient Please write to me with your comments, corrections and additions. I honestly appreciate all the input I can get. Pete Daggett
