Minds, like bodies, will often fall into a pimpled,
ill-conditioned state from mere excess of comfort.
Charles Dickens, novelist (1812-1870)

Christy worked with Christian today... he is being home-schooled. We have a computer based curriculum from something called Calvary something or other... it is a Christian based outfit and that rankles me a bit but they are the only people offering Home School Curriculums that we can afford... and even they aren't cheap... Religion in School is wrong, sorry, in my mind it just is wrong... Science, Philosophy and Religion... not a happy triumvirate. Suffice to say... I think cramming a literal belief in the Bible down anyone's throat is wrong, to do it to a child is hard to justify... I can walk outside an pick up any grain of sand and know it is several billion years older than the bible says the earth is... I am stopping now, getting a little agitated, besides, this is the wrong forum.
Christy took Christian to A. V. College He is taking Guitar and Swimming to cover his Music and PE prerequisites... She had an IEP at 1400 and another course at A. V. C at 1700... at 1800 she had to be at the Advisory meeting at her church... so... I didn't see her much... Mr. Mom, that's me...

I am sitting down here at Affordable Tire, they are waiting on a parts store to deliver some new rotors for the rear of the Taurus, they were too thin to be turned again ... damn... well that explains why they warped after only 3000 miles... Soooo I am stuck here for an hour and a half....hard to be productive at the tire store... but I'll do my best...
The TV set is tuned to ESPN I think... Golf... mixed doubles to boot... or what ever you call one guy and one gal per team in golf... I think mixed doubles is a tennis term.... The TV here is usually turned to one of those shows where actors pretend they are regular folks and yell at one-another for an hour...
Christy is home all day today so this will be the only time I can get this done this week... tomorrow she will be teaching in the morning and taking a class in the afternoon and with Christian all evening... he has two classes at AVC... I am concerned that the other kids are going to deem this to be special treatment... or he will...
I went down and enrolled "B" at Acton School... Mrs. Wegman was there and she was really glad to get him back... "B" is going to have a real hard time this year... he has been pampered and catered to at Devereux and that sort of lenience is just not going to happen at Acton Elementary...

Christy is teaching this morning, Autumn isn't feeling well so I am not going to make her go to Therapy... I had all seven kids and Christian's friend Shon... 9 people won't fit in my Taurus anyway... I dropped Shon off at his house and took Christian to College... Mike stayed home but I had all the others...

Christian has swimming class at 1200 then Christy has a class then Christian has another class at 1730 and Guitar at 1900, It is now 1440 and I have to take Mike to the dentist's office to get a filling have to leave in 10 minutes... If he gets done at 1600 I won't be back till 1700 because of the rush hour(s)... rush hour lasts from 1530 till 1900 on the
Antelope Valley Freeway... It's not like downtown but it's still a pain...it tears along pretty good...
Mike's dental appointment went OK... we played in the park while Mike went through his ordeal... Autumn is a fearless terror... she just wants to do everything...
Christy and Christian did their late classes but passed on the Guitar... too late and pretty expensive too... we will try it later in the year...

I spent the day cleaning and doing laundry... With Christy's help I can usually do a little each day and keep up but with Christy going to school and teaching it takes a bit more work... Calie and Monica helped a little today but there was too much to do... I was going to take them to the park but not if the house was a mess... plus Christy had a meeting after her class today and didn't get home till about 1530.
I got our room picked up and washed cleaned and folded about 7 loads of laundry... the kids cleaned and messed up the living room about 5 times... well they messed it five and cleaned it four cause it looked like orangutans had moved in there when I went to bed.
I went shopping with the girls last night, taking four little girls to the grocery store is not exactly my favorite recreational pastime but they are getting bigger every day and someday soon they will have better things to do than torment their dad at the grocery store... and that will be a sad day.......................

I want to take the kids to Placerita Canyon park today but Christy has a class from 1230 till 1340 so she won't be home till after 1400.. Mike won't go with me, "B" hates to walk,
Cindy gets tired after 100 yards... so tedious.
I finally took off for the park, not Placerita this
time... we went to Devil's Punch Bowl... Up above Littlerock about 15 miles...it is beautiful up there... I took Autumn, Calie, Monica and Christian... "B" and Mike stayed home with Christy. I finally finished the laundry (yes, I'm delusional)

Hmmm now... let me see... Anything interesting happen today.... nope... not to me any way... folks getting killed left and right in the Middle East... someone in New Hampshire won the Power Ball... $284 million dollars...GW is all giddy because people are stopping him on the street to say "Thanks for the $600!" doesn't matter that ... oh oh.... better nip this in the bud... mustn't think impure thoughts.
Needless to say, I didn't get my $600.00... I have seven kids... didn't pay enough taxes to qualify... My conservative friends would say it's just "sour grapes", and they are entitled to their opinion, they may even be right... I'll get over it... $600... may break the country, but it won't break me... I simply don't like the smarmy Texas Two-Stepping, little vote buying SOB...

I watched Cast Away last night ...and, between Tiger Woods and the movies I watched today, I didn't get much done... after Tiger finally won his match... (what an awesome game that was)... I went out to Lancaster and saw "The Score" , I came home and watched "Saving Forrester" I've been lucky... three good movies... The Score was fun to watch... lots of tension a good caper flick with a "The Mechanic" format... sort'a... "Cast Away", I am probably the last person on the planet to see this movie... it was worth the wait... another Tom Hanks tour De force, I am to the point where I would see Tom Hanks play Elmer Fudd in "The Bugs Bunny Story" but Saving Forrester was the best of the lot... "Good Will Hunting" sort'a... good strong dialogue... and they seemed to have faith in it... Poor F. Murray Abraham got to play a real shit again, he has that role down pat... I have hated him in every movie he has been in... he is a good actor, if he was pretty he would be a bigger
star.
The reason I got to laze around and pamper myself is that Christy went to Sycamore Cove Beach with her church and she took all the kids (except Mike).. what a nice day... for everyone.
I bought a watch yesterday... I can't find it today... I carried two Kaiser appointment cards in from the car... set them down somewhere... can't find 'em... my short term memory has never been very good, but lately... I am scaring myself...
