The innocent and the beautiful have no enemy but time.

William Butler Yeats, writer, Nobel laureate (1865-1939)

I took my bike in to get new tires put on and pick up the saddle bags I bought. I thought they opened at 0800 but they didn't open till 0900 so I went to Kaiser to pick up my Medicine... I got two of the four I ordered. One had to go through the Dr. and they said it was too soon to order the other. It's Prinivil, what I take for Acid Reflux...

I went back to Cycle Rider and we went looking for the tires I needed and they didn't have any in stock so I ordered them and will go back on Tuesday to get them mounted... what a pain.

We put some of the new (to us) chests-of-drawers in our room... an all day project, I still have two more to go...

Radix seems to be having some more problems, Christy couldn't log in.

I got two Virus's (Not from Radix Global) but they were pretty slick:

If the Republicans will stop telling lies about us, we will stop telling the truth about them.

Adlai Stevenson (D-IL)

Got another e-mail about G. W. Bush. This one was about him visiting a Military Hospital with Sgt. Major Jack Tilley and how he dropped to his knees and prayed for a soldier that had lost a hand... it ended with:

What a powerful _expression of love for one our
wounded heroes! And what a beautiful Christ-like
example! What kind of man would kneel in such humility
and submission to the Living God of the Bible?

It was George W. Bush, President of the United States
and Commander in Chief of our Armed forces, a man who
understands and follows his chain of command, a leader
 God has given us.

80% bullshit... Hell, it's 100%,  crap because it never happened, Sgt. Major Jack Tilley and President Bush never went to the Hospital together... so tedious.

Why do people fall for such manipulative, obvious pandering. People actually believe this junk, I really think that people don't see the lies, deceit and broken promises, all the see is what they want to see, the cardboard cut-out of pious George, of belligerent "Bring 'em on" George, all the staged crap has got them convinced he is the "Second Coming". I have been sent articles that compared him to Jesus... makes me want to puke. You will never see George with out a picture of George Washington hanging on the wall behind him, or an American Flag or a Ship or a tank or Soldiers in uniform. Unless he is on one of his month long vacations in Crawford, Texas. Did you see:

CRAWFORD, Texas (AP) - President Bush ( news - web sites) on Saturday closed out the final hours of his 32-day escape from Washington by designating September as a month of service to honor victims of Sept. 11.
- I can't quote any more, its too disgusting! -

Tim Sample was on the "What d'you know" (An NPR Radio Show) he told his story about asking one of the Geezers out on Southport Island, Elliot, if he had any interesting encounters with all the people driv'n around

Elliot said, I remember one time I was Nummin around out front like I do and I seen these two fellas in a convertible cah argu'n. Well they took off and about a half hour later they come back. They was even more agitated and look'n at a map and argu'n, pretty soon they took off again and about an our later they come back. I figured at that point they could use some intervention so I walked up to the cah and asked "You fellas lost are yah?" And they said "That's what we been do'n" "Is ya try'n to get of South Port Island are yah?"  and they advised that they were, "You fells aren't try'n to get of Southport Island by driv'n West are ya? They said that as a matter of fact that's exactly what we been do'n. "So" I said "well there's your trouble, You cahn't get off Southport Island by Driv'n West if you do you will be the first ones who have ever done it. I am goin to give you a little tip fella's. What you need to do is take that cah and  turn it around 180o and head her back in an Easterly direction and drive back across the same bridge you come acrossed to get onto the Island in the first place."

They said, "We didn't come across no bridge"

"You mean to tell me you didn't come acrossed no bridge to get onto Southport Island?" They said "No" "Well then I take it back, your trouble is you aint here yet."

He [Tim Sample] said he had a friend who owned a store up north and a fella from the Government came by do'n a survey and said according to statistics this area was a little depressed economically. Well, the old guy said I don't know what you want to call it but if you could buy an Greyhound Bus Ticket with a food-stamp we'd all be gone out of heah.

Don't talk to me about appealing to the public. I am done with the public, for the present anyway. The public reads the headlines and that is all. The story itself is fair and shows the facts. That would be all right if the public read the facts. But it does not. It reads the headlines and listens to the demagogues and that's the stuff public opinion is made of.

J.P. Morgan (1837-1913)

I bought Calie an electric bike/thing for her birthday called the Razor - Electric Punk it's cute. It will go 9 miles and reach the blistering speed of 11mph... she is having fun with it and that's what counts I guess.

Christian has a rash I took him to the Dr. and they gave him some antibiotics and some pills to let him stop itching.

I had a fun discussion with the son of a friend up north... a fledgling Uber-Con... I can't really talk to the older hard-core Uber-Cons because they have closed their minds and are not interested in facts, they believe in what they are told by the pundits like... Rush Limbaugh, Fox News, Ari Fleisher and their ilk. I don't believe anything on faith alone. I admit to being biased against the current administration, it wouldn't surprise me if they tried to put a clause in the Constitution making a belief in Christianity a mandatory condition of citizenship and started  burning crosses on the Whitehouse Lawn...
