"The first of April is the day we
remember what we are the other 364 days of the year."
American humorist Mark
Twain
We went to Colville today, Trevor, Calie, Cindy, Autumn Monica Christy and
I... I was not thinking ahead and forgot that we needed to bring the stuff home
that we were buying, with all the seats full it left only the small space behind
the third row of seats, it was a challenge but I got it all in somehow.
John (The BMW Mechanic in Idaho) called and said that the bike was almost
done... going to cost a bit more though, needs brakes and a headlight. Should be
strong when he's done though. Now all I need is to find the moneyu to pay for
it. Next year I'll get shocks.
I read this little bit of silliness on
April Fools Day... I will
have to check this site out occasionally.

I
cleaned the garage, chauffeured Cindy and
went to the dump.
Time to paint the bathroom down stairs... I hate painting... a lot. It's
just a pain in the butt, 80% of the effort is set up and clean up...
They [the Conservative Crusaders for a world of their making] are really
laying into Obama. I get one or two crude or hateful e-mails every day from
folks who want to destroy him. They are racist, demeaning, lies and distortions.
It scares me that no one seems to be able to set the record straight.

"Did you see Barack Obama bowling in Pennsylvania the other
day?
Ooh, that was bad. He bowled a 37 out of a 300. See, that's
good.
That is good, because I want a president that's bad at
bowling.
I mean, shouldn't he have more important things to do? Look,
I don't know President Bush, but I'm willing to guess he's a great bowler."

This is a picture of Trevor, #32, shooting the basket that broke the tie
and gave Selkirk the win 63 -61 over Wellpinit he also just won the low hurdles
and the Javelin events at the last Invitational at Wilber-Creston.

Christy took Calie and Monica to the Mall in Spokane to shop
for dresses for the Junior Prom next month... yes... Monica too. I stayed home
to chauffeur Cindy again and I took Autumn to lunch at the Western.
Christy and the girls got home at midnight.
John McCain vs. John McCain
Fourteen people in a doomsday cult in Russia left their cave
on April Fools Day when part of it collapsed ... the comic ramifications
stemming from just that wee bit of information boggles the mind. Normally I just
shake my head at what gullible idiots humans can be and just write it off to one
more piece of evidence that Darwin was right and there truly is such a thing as
Natural Selection. Cults are universally the laughing stock of humanity but the
fact is, we are all subject to being seduced by one sort of mass dementia or
another. Sadly three or four children were unaccounted for. It pisses me off
when adults inflict their children with their lunacy. Children are too
vulnerable to authority and entrusting them to crazy people should be against
the law. If you tell the world that you are going to go into a cave to await the
"End Of Times" I believe that society, in order to preserve itself and do it's
bit to cleanse the gene pool, should allow them to go with it's blessing but at
the same time it think it is totally inhumane and irresponsible to allow them to
take their children with them.
We need crazy people in the world to measure ourselves by. As
lone as there are nuts for us to pity or point fingers at we can sit back smugly
and deem ourselves to be sane. What frightens me is the nagging suspision that I
am no longer flowing in the main-stream. In several instances lately I find
myself on the outside looking in at the majority. I really wonder what

We are all equal before the law, but not before those
appointed to apply it.
Stanislaw J. Lec, poet and aphorist (1909-1966)
I heard another story from Jerry. There was a fella in town named [] He
used to be a prison guard in Montana and was working at the mine. He was in the
Western, he wasn't supposed to be in there for some reason, maybe he had been
86'd, but he wasn't drinking . The local cop came by and told him to leave, he
said "leave me alone [] I'm not doing anything to concern you." and went back
inside. The cop left and waited for him to leave, when he left he went to a
party in the Falls and the cop followed him. He went in and rousted him again.
[] went outside with him and said, "Why don't you just go home, the cop said
you're under arrest," [] picked him up with one hand and hung him on the truck
mirror by his gun belt and took his gun and threw it in the back of the truck
saying "You won't need this, you're just going to hurt yourself, then he took
off his badge and hung it on the rear view mirror.
Calie needs to sound like she's kidding when she's kidding. It's not fair
to say outrageious things and then say "Just kidding"
I painted today... I hate to paint, I really hate to paint, I will pay the

"The key
lesson to me of Vietnam is that you cannot outlast insurgents in their own
country. This idea that when Bush says, "Well, we can't say we're going to pull
out in six months because they'll only have to wait six months and a day.
They'll wait a hundred years if they have to!"

I did Mikes taxes, he made next to nothing last year and will get $600
back from Bush...
I just picked up one of the guys from out this way and took
him into town. He is an ex-hell raiser who found Jesus, he listens to the radio
preachers and the sad reality is that the radio preacher probably saved his
life. Why some folks will listen to a huckster with a haircut that costs more
than the car they drive is beyond me…
I enjoy talking to people about their religious beliefs, you
learn a lot about them by how far they can go into the discussion without saying
“faith” or “belief”. Usually not more than a sentence or two. My problem with
religion has always been those two words. They are such nebulous concepts that
it seems incredulous to me that an intelligent person can deem their ‘faith and
belief’ is any more significant than anyone else’s. Why is it that one system
based on faith and belief is any more relevant than any other. The bottom
mine is that they believe because they have to, the possibility that we are on
our own, subjects of chaos, evolution, luck, our own intelligence and providence
is just to scary to contemplate. To me that concept is comforting... hell, shit
happens.
It seems important to me to be able to understand why people
pass judgment on one another based on nothing more than their own imagination.
At one point in our lives we all believed in Santa Claus the Easter Bunny and
the infallibility of our parents, why is the same fundamental system that allows
us to believe in the fantasies of childhood allowed to dictate how we conduct
our lives. Why are we killing people simply because we believe we are right and
they are wrong… that sort of shit just mystifies the hell out of me.

One days worth on Media Matters:
Despite having to correct Ross' false claim that McCain has released tax
returns, ABC still ignored McCain in report musing about Clinton tax returns
Summary: On ABC's Good
Morning America, Brian Ross asserted that Sen. Hillary Clinton's
"delay" in releasing tax returns "has raised a lot of questions," including
"whether they paid their taxes like average Americans, or like the
super-rich they have become." At no point during the segment did anyone,
including Ross, who has falsely asserted that Sen. John McCain released his
tax returns, question McCain's "delay."
Radio Factor guest host Tony
Snow offered false and misleading attacks on Obama
Summary: Guest-hosting The
Radio Factor, Tony Snow falsely claimed that "since he's been in the
United States Senate, [Sen. Barack Obama] has voted present more often than
any other member of the Senate." Snow also asserted that Obama "has
described Jeremiah Wright as one of his key political advisers, and he said
that he didn't make any key political decision without consulting him." In
fact, Obama has stated that Wright "has never been my political advisor;
he's been my pastor."
MSNBC and CNN ignored "boldest question" from student at prep school but
reported extensively on students' question to Chelsea Clinton
Summary: MSNBC and CNN reported on Sen. John McCain's visit to his high
school alma mater without noting that -- in what MSNBC's First Read
political blog called "[t]he boldest question" from the crowd -- a student
at the school, pointing out that "political motivation isn't completely
absent" even though people "were told that this isn't a political event,"
asked McCain "what exactly is your purpose in being" at the school. By
contrast, MSNBC and CNN both extensively reported on questions posed to
Chelsea Clinton about the Monica Lewinsky scandal.
Coulter: Obama's memoir is "Dimestore 'Mein Kampf' "
Summary: In a syndicated column titled "Obama's Dimestore 'Mein Kampf,'" Ann
Coulter wrote that Sen. Barack Obama's 1995 memoir, Dreams
from My Father, "reveals Obama to be a flabbergasting lunatic," adding:
"If only people had read 'Mein Kampf' ..."
Now, this really flabbergasts me...
Why is it that folks are surprised that Annie memorized Mein Kampf?
I would have been surprised if she hadn't... what a vile, soulless harridan
she is... can you imagine what it would be like to be her friend? All the
while knowing that she would crucify you if she thought she would get a
little publicity or a chuckle from her loyal lynch-mob.
Fineman stated that McCain said he is "with Bush on the war, but only the war"
-- but McCain is "with Bush" on other issues
Summary: On Hardball, Newsweek's
Howard Fineman stated that, in his foreign policy speech, Sen. John McCain
said, "I want to adopt the Democratic view of the need for diplomacy and
alliances, and even the one that predated George W. Bush. ... I'm with Bush
on the war, but only the war." However, McCain is also "with Bush" on a
number of other issues, notably taxes, Social Security, and missile defense.
CBS report on "mind-numbing" national debt made no mention of Republican-led
Congress' years of deficit spending on Bush tax cuts, Iraq
Summary: A CBS
Evening News report on the
national debt, the current level of which both anchor Katie Couric and
correspondent Anthony Mason described as "mind-numbing," failed to quote a
single Democrat and did not point out the extent to which deficit spending
by Republican-led Congresses has contributed to the debt.
Following pattern in the media, CNN's King uncritically repeated McCain
campaign's false attacks on Democrats
Summary: On The
Situation Room, John King uncritically reported that "[i]n a statement,
a McCain spokesman took a shot at the other party, saying, 'Americans can't
afford the Democrats' liberal agenda to raise taxes, nationalize health
care, cut off trade, and crush the economy under big government.' "
Following what has become a pattern in the media, King failed to note the
significant falsehoods and misleading claims in McCain's statement and
simply read it without challenge.
Matthews touted questioning of Obama about Wright, but left out Obama's
response: "I hear you say
controversial things, Chris"
Summary: On MSNBC, Chris Matthews said that during an interview the previous
day, he "prodded" Sen. Barack Obama on his relationship with Rev. Jeremiah
Wright. But while Matthews touted his questioning of Obama, he did not
provide Obama's response. After Obama told Matthews that he had "never heard
[Wright] say those things that were in those clips," which he said the media
"ran [] over and over and over again," Matthews continued: "But you did say
you heard him say controversial things." Obama responded, "Well, but I hear you say
controversial things, Chris."
What I want to know is "Where is the Liberal Media?" these assholes keep harping
about... click on any one of these links and try to find a "Liberal" counterpart
