We've got hundreds of sites to exploit, looking for the chemical and biological weapons that we know Saddam Hussein had prior to our entrance into Iraq.

George W. Bush, Santa Clara, Calif., May 2, 2003

After the report on WMD's and the "Intelligence Failures" I have been wondering why no one is saying "Well, we told you so!"

By the time Bush declared war the entire world and half of this country were screaming "He's wrong! He's lying!". Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Powell, Rice the whole damn Cabinet were lying... the commission just proved that everything they told us was untrue, I knew it, we knew it but we're supposed to believe that Bush and his pack of sycophant/handlers were "Mislead"... give me a break... when are the damn Republicans going to wake up and turn that lying little weasel over to the Hague for Crimes against Humanity!

Every generation of Americans needs to know that freedom consists not in doing what we like, but in having the right to do what we ought.

Pope John Paul II

Pope John Paul II died this morning while I was picking up medicine at Kaiser... Everyone there seemed to be relieved that he died so quickly, he was a tough old dude. I had hoped that he would continue on being a reformer and be a little more progressive but it seemed like all that went out the window when he got shot. I would have liked to see him speaking out a little more forcibly about the church harboring child molesters. I think the Roman Catholic Church has a long way to go to cleanse itself of the mistakes and atrocities committed in it's name.

I know that very few people give a damn about this but James Stewart beat Ricky Carmichael & Chad Reed in Dallas tonight... first of many 250 Class Motocross races to come I imagine. James Stewart is the only African American professional motocross racer... ever and he is the best rider I have ever seen...

Calvin: The world is a complicated place, Hobbes.

Hobbes: Whenever it seems that way, I take a nap in a tree and wait for dinner.

I managed to work for about 4 hours on the road and managed to get through it without getting stuck even once. I did manage to snap off another one of the adaptors, I am not sure how it's happening. I will try to get another elbow joint for that hose, it seems like the hose may be too short. It's slow going, the trench is taking a lot of dirt and the dirt is so sandy I have to be very careful not to get the rear tires anywhere near it.

Things are very tense here tonight for some reason... tomorrow is the first day of school after spring break for the rest of the kids. It may be causing some of it. Calie and Monica are acting like a couple of five year olds fighting over a toy. Cindy is all emotional for no discernable reason. Mike is having a snit because his clothes didn't come clean in the washer.
